Blank template or finished schedule: your choice
The template is for filling in by hand. The generator does the hard part and gives you the same Excel, already balanced.
Blank template
Type a shift code on each day and hours and coverage are counted by formulas. Change the shifts in the legend.
Filled-in schedule in Excel
Generate the schedule above and click “Excel (.xlsx)”: color-coded shifts, hours per employee and a summary sheet.
Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice
Both files open in any spreadsheet app, including on your phone, and print on one page.
No email, no sign-up
Neither the template nor the generator asks for your details. The schedule stays in your browser.
Blank shift schedule template (.xlsx)
31 days and 15 employees, with hours per person and people per shift and day calculated by formulas. Works in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice. No email, no sign-up.
Why not just use a spreadsheet?

Frequently asked questions
Does the template work in Google Sheets?
Yes. Upload it to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets: the hours and coverage formulas work the same. It also opens in LibreOffice Calc and Numbers.
What's in the blank template?
One sheet with 31 days and 15 rows for your team, an hours column per employee, people per shift and day, and a legend with shift codes and hours you can change.
What if my shifts are 12 hours?
Change the hours in the legend and the formulas recalculate. In the generator you set each shift by start and end time, including split shifts.
Can I schedule several locations at once?
Yes, in one schedule. In the Shifts step click “I have several locations”: each location gets its own shifts and coverage, and in Team you mark where each person works. Staff fixed to a location only work there; staff who float rotate between locations, never two on the same day and always with their rest between shifts. Fixed rotations like this one keep working: each crew follows its pattern at its own location. You can view, print and export each location separately.
