About turnos.work

turnos.work is a free online shift schedule maker with no sign-up. Tell it your shifts, how many people you need on each and who is on the team, and it builds the schedule with rest between shifts, days off, restrictions and contract hours. Then tweak it by hand and export it to Excel, PDF or your phone calendar.

How it works

1. Pick or create your shifts and the coverage for each day.
2. Add the team with their hours, days off and restrictions.
3. Choose the period (week, two weeks, month or custom dates) and click Generate.
4. If something is impossible, the generator explains what is missing and suggests changes you can apply or undo.

The schedule is built by an optimization algorithm that runs in your browser. It is not generative AI and sends your data to no model.

Your data

Names, shifts and schedules are processed and stored only in your browser. There are no accounts or team database. The only information that reaches the server is anonymous usage counters. Details on theprivacy page.

How it is funded

The site is free and has no paid plan. It runs on voluntary donations onKo-fiand, in the future, advertising that will be disclosed on the privacy page and will ask for your consent. No feature is locked for not donating.

What it is not

It is not an HR system: it does not track time, manage vacations or run payroll. If you need that, see thecomparisons.
