A schedule that fits restaurant hours
Restaurants run on part-time hours, changing availability and a weekend that needs twice the staff of a Tuesday.
Weekend peaks
Ask for three at opening and four at closing on Friday and Saturday, and two and three on weekdays. The schedule follows the numbers day by day.
Part-timers and full-timers
Each person has weekly hours, so a 20-hour server and a 40-hour cook both get what they signed up for.
Availability
Mark days a person is off or shifts they cannot work (school, a second job) and the schedule works around them.
Weekly, publishable
Make the week, tweak a cell by hand (it gets a lock) and share it as an Excel file or a read-only link.

Frequently asked questions
Can I schedule servers and kitchen separately?
Yes. Use departments: each one gets its own shifts and coverage, and people who work in both can be marked for both.
What about split shifts?
Create a shift with two parts (for example 11:00–15:00 and 17:00–22:00) in the Shifts step and use it like any other.
Can employees get their shifts on their phone?
Yes. Download a calendar file (.ics) for each person and import it into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook.
Can I schedule several locations at once?
Yes, in one schedule. In the Shifts step click “I have several locations”: each location gets its own shifts and coverage, and in Team you mark where each person works. Staff fixed to a location only work there; staff who float rotate between locations, never two on the same day and always with their rest between shifts. Fixed rotations like this one keep working: each crew follows its pattern at its own location. You can view, print and export each location separately.
